about course
Reaching B1 means moving towards more independent and confident communication in English. Our course is designed for students who already have a solid foundation and want to communicate more freely, understand more complex language and express their ideas in greater detail. B1 corresponds to the intermediate level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The focus shifts from basic communication towards the ability to maintain conversations, describe experiences, explain opinions and understand the main points of more complex English. The course builds on your A2 knowledge and develops the skills you need to progress towards B2. It is also a good option if you have studied English for some time but feel that your speaking skills do not fully reflect your knowledge.

Curriculum
The programme combines grammar, vocabulary and practical communication so that you can use English in everyday, professional and social situations with increasing independence. You will work on topics such as describing experiences and events, plans and intentions, giving and justifying opinions, social topics, work and studies, problems and solutions, storytelling, travel and personal experiences. Grammar builds on A1 and A2 and is always practised in context: present, past and future forms, Present Perfect, Past Continuous and other narrative forms, modal verbs, first and second conditionals, passive voice, relative clauses, reported speech, infinitives and gerunds, more complex questions, linking words and common phrasal verbs. Listening becomes longer and more varied, with everyday conversations, interviews, videos, discussions and stories related to work, travel and studies. In reading you work with articles, emails, personal stories, online content and workplace materials, learning to identify the main idea and work out unfamiliar language from context. In writing you move from isolated sentences to connected texts: emails, messages, descriptions, informal letters, opinions and short reports. Each class combines warm-up and review, new material, guided practice, communication, listening or reading, and feedback from the teacher. Around 70% of class time is dedicated to practical language use and communication. Classes take place on our own platform, with digital and interactive materials: vocabulary and grammar exercises, audio, video, reading texts and speaking activities.
Our goal is for you to communicate in English more freely and independently in everyday, social and professional situations. In the B1 course you will discuss a wider range of topics, explain your opinions and describe experiences, understand longer conversations and be able to move beyond prepared phrases with greater confidence.

I started the course with almost no knowledge of English and at first I thought it would be difficult. However, the teacher explains everything very clearly and patiently, which makes learning easier. Now I can understand basic phrases and form short sentences.

For students who can already communicate in familiar situations but want to become more fluent and independent: speak more fluently, expand their active vocabulary, express opinions more clearly, understand longer conversations, read more complex texts and use English more confidently at work.
-
The main difference is independence and the complexity of communication. At A2 you talk about familiar topics using relatively simple language. At B1 you can maintain longer conversations, describe experiences, explain opinions and discuss a wider range of subjects, and you rely less on memorised phrases and more on your own responses.
-
The teacher sees how you use English in conversation, identifies your strongest and weakest areas and asks about your goals, such as professional communication, travel, studying abroad or simply greater fluency. This shows which aspects of your English need the most attention.
-
Experiences and events, plans and intentions, opinions, social topics, work and studies, problems and solutions, storytelling, travel and personal experiences, with the vocabulary and grammar needed to discuss them.
-
Present, past and future forms, Present Perfect, Past Continuous, modal verbs, first and second conditionals, passive voice, relative clauses, reported speech, infinitives and gerunds, more complex questions, linking words and common phrasal verbs.
-
Each class starts with a warm-up that activates previously learned language, then new vocabulary or grammar, guided practice, communication through conversations, discussions and role plays, work with listening or reading materials, and ends with feedback that makes your English more accurate and natural.
