Learning the basics of English is the first step towards confident communication. Our Basic English course is designed for students who are at the beginning of their learning journey or want to strengthen an existing foundation. It introduces the essential elements of English step by step: common vocabulary, basic grammar structures and practical expressions for everyday communication. It is also a good option if you studied English in the past but have forgotten many of the basics and want to rebuild your knowledge. The focus is on understanding how English works and gradually becoming more confident using it in real-life situations, as a foundation for progressing to A1 and higher levels.
Curriculum

The programme combines basic grammar and vocabulary with practical speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. You will learn to introduce yourself, talk about your family and interests, describe your daily routine, ask and answer basic questions, talk about food and shopping, and ask for simple directions. In grammar you will work on the verb to be, pronouns, articles, Present Simple and Continuous, basic past and future forms, there is/there are, can, basic questions and negatives, and prepositions of time and place, focusing on how these structures work in practice rather than on rules in isolation. Each lesson combines a warm-up, new language, guided practice, speaking practice, listening or reading, and feedback from the teacher, and the activities gradually become more challenging. Around 70% of class time is dedicated to practical language use and communication. Lessons take place online on our own platform, with digital and interactive materials: vocabulary exercises, audio, video, simple texts and everyday dialogues.

Our goal is to help you build a strong foundation in English and start using it in everyday situations. In the Basic English course you will learn essential vocabulary and grammar, start speaking from the first lessons and understand simple conversations and short texts.

Simple learning method

Choosing a teacher
After you register, we’ll help you choose a teacher who has experience working with beginners. This ensures that the language is explained step-by-step and clearly.
First introductory class
In the first class, you’ll meet your teacher and discuss your learning goals. You’ll also receive an overview of how the course is structured and which topics will be covered at the beginning.
Initial level assessment
Even for beginner students, it is important to determine the starting point. The teacher will assess your basic knowledge and recommend the most suitable study program.
Start of regular learning
After the first class, you can choose the most convenient schedule for your lessons. Over time, you will begin to expand your vocabulary and participate in simple conversations in English.

What is the A1 English course like?

Time

Based on our experience, at least 40 lessons are usually needed to make solid progress towards the next level. If you are completely new to English, you may need more time to build the basic vocabulary and grammar for simple communication.
Frequency

Studying 2-3 times per week provides a stable routine. If you are starting from a very low level, consistent practice is particularly useful, because basic vocabulary and grammar need regular repetition.
Format

The course is fully online, with interactive materials available from your phone or computer.
