about course

Reaching A2 means moving beyond the basics and becoming more independent in everyday English. Our course is designed for students who already have a basic foundation and want to expand their vocabulary, improve their grammar and communicate more confidently in familiar situations. A2 corresponds to the elementary level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The focus shifts from very basic communication towards a wider range of everyday situations: you learn to understand more detailed information, express your ideas more clearly and keep simple conversations going for longer. The course builds on A1 and prepares you for B1. If you are unsure whether A2 is the right level for you, the first lesson will help determine your current knowledge and the areas that need more practice.
Curriculum

The programme combines structured learning with regular speaking, listening, reading and writing practice, and new language is applied immediately in conversations and practical situations. You will work on topics such as daily life and experiences, describing people, places and events, hobbies and interests, past events, plans and arrangements, preferences and opinions, travel and holidays, work and studies, and common everyday situations. Grammar expands the structures from A1 and is always practised through examples and communication: Present Simple and Present Continuous, Past Simple, future forms, countable and uncountable nouns, comparatives and superlatives, adverbs of frequency, modal verbs, question structures, prepositions, basic conditionals and common phrasal verbs. In listening you work with everyday conversations, short interviews, dialogues, instructions, audio and video about travel, work and daily life; in reading, with messages, emails, short articles, descriptions and travel information; and in writing, with messages, emails and short connected texts about familiar experiences, plans and opinions. Each class combines warm-up and review, new material, guided practice, speaking practice, listening or reading, and feedback from the teacher. Around 70% of class time is dedicated to practical language use and communication. Classes take place on our own platform, with digital and interactive materials: vocabulary and grammar exercises, audio, video, reading texts and speaking activities.

Our goal is for you to move beyond the basics and use English more independently in everyday situations. In the A2 course you will expand your vocabulary and grammar, practise longer conversations and be able to talk about your experiences, plans and opinions with greater confidence.

Simple learning method

Choosing a teacher
After you register, we’ll help you choose a teacher who has experience working with beginners. This ensures that the language is explained step-by-step and clearly.
First introductory class
In the first class, you’ll meet your teacher and discuss your learning goals. You’ll also receive an overview of how the course is structured and which topics will be covered at the beginning.
Initial level assessment
Even for beginner students, it is important to determine the starting point. The teacher will assess your basic knowledge and recommend the most suitable study program.
Start of regular learning
After the first class, you can choose the most convenient schedule for your lessons. Over time, you will begin to expand your vocabulary and participate in simple conversations in English.

What is the A1 English course like?

Time

Our experience shows that at least 40 classes are needed to move up a level with solid progress. The pace depends on your starting knowledge and the practice you do outside class; the goal is to develop language skills you can use consistently, not just to finish a set number of lessons.
Frequency

The usual routine is 2 to 3 classes per week, depending on your schedule and goals. Consistency matters especially at A2, because the amount of language you need to understand and use is much greater than at beginner level. Between classes you can review new expressions, practise grammar and complete additional exercises.
Format

The course is fully online, with interactive materials available on your phone, tablet or computer.
