Our C1 course is designed for students who already communicate confidently in English but want greater precision, flexibility and fluency. C1 corresponds to the advanced level of the CEFR. You will work with complex structures, nuanced vocabulary and authentic materials, and learn to understand implied meanings and adapt your communication to different audiences. It is also a good option if you communicate well but still notice hesitation or limited vocabulary, and it prepares you for C2.
Curriculum

The programme combines advanced grammar and vocabulary with speaking, listening, reading and writing practice. You will learn to defend complex opinions, discuss abstract and specialised subjects, take part in debates and present information clearly. Grammar focuses on precision: mixed conditionals, inversion, cleft sentences, participle clauses, discourse markers and idiomatic structures. You will work with interviews, lectures, podcasts, articles, reports and essays, and write professional emails, reports and analytical texts. Lessons can be focused on work (meetings, negotiations, presentations) or study (lectures, seminars, academic writing). Around 70% of class time is dedicated to practical language use and communication. Classes take place on our online platform with interactive materials.

In the C1 course you will express complex ideas, discuss abstract topics and understand nuanced language, expand your advanced vocabulary and adapt your English to different contexts with confidence.

Simple learning method

Choosing a teacher
After you register, we’ll help you choose a teacher who has experience working with beginners. This ensures that the language is explained step-by-step and clearly.
First introductory class
In the first class, you’ll meet your teacher and discuss your learning goals. You’ll also receive an overview of how the course is structured and which topics will be covered at the beginning.
Initial level assessment
Even for beginner students, it is important to determine the starting point. The teacher will assess your basic knowledge and recommend the most suitable study program.
Start of regular learning
After the first class, you can choose the most convenient schedule for your lessons. Over time, you will begin to expand your vocabulary and participate in simple conversations in English.

What is the A1 English course like?

Time

At least 40 classes are usually needed to move up a level with solid progress, although this varies between students.
Frequency

2 to 3 classes per week. Between lessons you can review expressions, read, listen to English and practise advanced grammar.
Format

Fully online, with interactive materials available on your phone, tablet or computer.
