about course
Our German C2 course is designed for advanced learners who want to refine their language skills and communicate with exceptional fluency, accuracy and flexibility. C2 is the highest level of the CEFR, and learning focuses on the finer points of German: subtle differences in meaning, sophisticated vocabulary, complex grammar and adapting your style to different situations. It is a good fit if you need German for professional or academic purposes, want a C2 exam certificate or simply aim for a higher level of proficiency. The goal is not just to learn more words or rules, but to understand how language works in different contexts and use it appropriately.

program
Lessons combine discussions, vocabulary development, grammar practice and work with authentic spoken and written materials. In speaking you present arguments, respond to different viewpoints and express subtle distinctions through debates and presentations on culture, society, philosophy and technology, working on idioms, humour and adjusting your tone to formal and informal situations. Grammar focuses on accuracy and the subtle effects of structures: advanced word order, Konjunktiv I and II, reported speech, participial constructions and extended attributes, advanced prepositions and cases, and stylistic differences between spoken, formal and academic German. Vocabulary includes idioms, collocations, synonyms, figurative language, tone and connotation. You understand extended speech, interviews and presentations, including implied meaning and changes in register, read essays, analytical articles, literary texts and specialised reports, and write formal correspondence, analytical texts, reports and essays with precision and a suitable style. If you are preparing for a C2 exam, lessons can follow its format. Classes take place online with a teacher, individually or in groups.
Our goal is for you to use German with exceptional precision and flexibility in demanding academic and professional contexts. In the C2 course you will discuss complex and abstract topics, understand subtle nuances and idiomatic language, refine your grammar and vocabulary and adapt your style to any audience and situation.
